Default gsr crank gridle-b20?

ok i'm putting my crvtec back together w/ the gsr crank gridle (w/ the 3 gsr main caps) and was wondering what main bearings to use? i have the codes for both blocks, i'm just wondering about the bottom half of the 3 gsr caps. i can get all the colors and figure it out that way (i work at honda) but i really don't feel like going through the hassle any body have any suggestions????

You can't mix main caps with different blocks. The codes on your block were calculated using the mains it came with. Now if you really want to use the gsr mains, take everything to a machine shop and have them check the trueness of the bore-I forgot the correct name. OR which is much easier, have your b20 mains shaved and doweled to accept the gsr girdle which is the route I took. There are others as well. Good luck.

If you want to use the GSR girdle with the B20 block- you will have to have it align bored- It may not even be possible- the main caps/girdle is bored with the block, you can't go swapping these things around. The journals are sized down to the ten thousandths (.0001") - try drilling two holes in two pieces of aluminum in the exact same spot and the exact same size, cutting them in half and swapping halves- while having them line up exactly (within .0001") this is essentially what you are doing.

Align boring should not be a problem. Make sure they do it correctly, and clip the caps in the process...
