if you have the money and you like working on cars - why not? it will give you more horses and torque from what i hear. Dyno it now and then after you put the block i'mn thinking about doing this also

I would go for it they say the compreshion will drop but not much,
would be great if your thinking of boosting it later.

actually with the gsr block youd raise the compression using the b16 head. if you had a gsr than id say just stick with the gsr head but getting the gsr block over the b16 block is definitely an upgrade.

You have substantial proof of this? The combustion chambers of a PR3 head are bigger thus dropping compression by about 0.2

So if you have a 10.4:1 CR then it would go 10.2:1.

A gsr block and b16 with nothing else done is gonna be equivalent to a gsr no where near an R even poor R.

I spent alot of money rebuilding my gsr block to get higher compression and money on my R head to get better flow. Not worth it IMHO.

Just save up and get an H-motor.

My mistake I was thinking of PR3 pistons combined with a gsr head.

my buddies rockin that same setup with rocket cams and hes milled the head too no piston slap

You will gain more low to mid range, more torque is alway good. You will have a better power band than with the b16. Also I would go with p30 piston to bring comp to about say 11.2. Get some CTR cams, with good tune and chip ecu, what ever I like or can get you hands on. You should put out some good number. I would rebuild the bottom end too.
