Default GSR/B16 differential

can i affectively use ball bearings instead of tapered bearings on a gsr differential if i remove the shims off the casing? wondering if its been done b4

Yeah, when I put a ITR lsd in my gsr tranny I switched to ball bearings. No issues

Yes, you just need to use the correct shim for the enclosed bearings, which one you need you'll need to find out by shimming it.
