Default Grinding noise when accelerating

I've been having some problems with my car. First off, its a 1998 DX Hatchback. It makes a grinding noise at about 20 mph in first gear and less noticably every now and then in 2nd gear at the same RPM. It only does it when I'm accelerating. Its more of a rattly, metallic sound like metal scraping across metal. Its not that bad, but its bugging me. Everyone told me it was the heat shield for the catalytic converter or the header but I have a new header and no cat right now, and a new exhaust, so that is not the case. It seems to be coming from the front end. Can anyone help me diagnose this? Thanks.

James
