What's a good, reliable brake fluid. I've never changed it myself so I don't know if there's a certain type I need to get (grade-wise). I've got a 97 Civic. Any suggestions?

The least cost, but with excellent performance, is Valvoline Synpower, which you can purcahse at Autozone or even Kmart. I recommend it for street use, if cost is an issue. It is not hygroscopic like many "race" fluids; further, it is not necessary to use a high-temp fluid on the street.

i've heard that ford heavy duty brake fluid is really good.

 

yep, for super blue I think its called. Havent put it in yet, but its on my to do list.

used it for 3 autox's and hard driving
no problems.
