the pic below isnt of the distributor off of my car. but the gear you can see in the pic is broken on my distributor. do i need to buy a whole new distributor or can i just replace the gear?


edit: and what other cars would have a distributor that would work its a 91 teg?

 

just a get a new distributor. i hear distributor king has decent prices, and better than OEM quality.

 

if you have another distributor to get the part from, I believe it is possible to replace just the gear.

HOWEVER, dismantling your distributor to that level makes it a huge pain to put it back together, and it'd be really easy to break it, or get lost and not be able to put it back together correctly at all..

I'd say just get a new distributor..
as said, distro king is good. Honda dizzies die fairly commonly..

 

ok, so are there any other cars dizzys that fit besides integra? i picked up another distributor up at the just yard, but didnt know it was ODB1 when i grabbed it. and the yard doesnt have any tegs

 

hmm, i'm not too sure about bseries dizies
maybe non vtec and vtec ones are interchangeable, i dont know.
but if they are that gives u any dizzy off a b18b, a, c, c5 etc..
