Fuse #15, Electrical Problems
Specs:
97 Civic LX
JDM B18B
Stock y7 Harness
Turbo'd, 450cc DSM Injectors to resistor box
Chipped P06 ECU, running Neptune
Anyways, I don't have a CEL on for it, but when I jump the connector I have code 20, ELD. I'm pretty sure the tuner was supposed to disable the ELD, which is why the CEL doesn't light up for it. I removed the ELD since it's supposed to be disabled anyways..
Whenever I turned my HID's on, the car would run super RICH (<10.0 on a wideband A/F)... and car would bog down and make it undrivable. With the HID's off, car ran fine.
I removed the HID's since they take a lot of power initially to boot up, and put Halogen ones back in. Problem SEEMED solved.
Until last night, car died on me.. Fuse #15 was blown. To my knowledge it hasn't blown again yet, but I know it's infamous in doing so.
Somewhere, something is taking up too much power. I should be able to run HID's in a car without driving issues. Battery is good, and alternator is < 1 year old, so it SHOULD be good.
Does this sound like a short in a wire somewhere? Would the famous TSB for fuse 15 cause electrical problems like car running rich after the HID's turned on? My o2 sensor wire dragged on the ground for a bit, but I inspected it and it seemed good.
Any suggestions on things I could try, or where to look for problems? I also checked my main grounds, they are fine.
EDIT: I also have a loose negative battery terminal.. but I could pull it off without any tools if I wanted no problem.. would that be an issue also?
Thanks
