Default Fuel pump problems

So I was driving my 96 ek lsvtec and it would shut off for a split sec and come right back on. I've been getting code 9 here and there and thought my dizzy was going bad. Then I got home and shut it off for about 2 hrs and then I tried to start it and it would die almost immediately and wouldn't start back up like it was not getting fuel.

My aunt said she seen a spark coming somewhere around the thermostat housing but I took it off cleaned it put it back and still no work. So the fuel pump don't prime when i turn the key on but I do have spark and the car will run if I use starting fluid. What all controls the fuel pump and to prime?. I changed the main relay and nothing and I'm using hondata s300. Some times I hear the fuel pump contently run and won't shut off after they to start it. I'm getting the correct about of fuel pressure when it does that. Could it be my resistor box? dizzy? some type of wiring problem.. Never had any problem on the car since I owned it and this is back in 09

sounds like your fuel pump is going bad or your injectors are clogged. did it ever sputter when you got on the gas?

Yup it did sputter and died acouple times then Wouldn't start back up. Whats weird is tat after try to start the car the fuel pump keeps running and never hits off. If i disconnect the battery and then turn the key on the fuel pump will kick on like it's suppose to..

k sounds like your injectors are clogged and causing the fuel pump the get back pressure. take off the 3 bolts holding on your fuel rail and take out your injectors take out the tiny screen filters and shake them around in gas if you want you could do the same with the injectors it wont hurt. clean them up DO NOT use water and put them back in if the problem still continues then you have a bad fuel pump or fuel pump relay. id check your relay before you go through the annoying process of dropping your tank. check the easy stuff first.
