Default Fuel Pressure Questions

I have some itnernal work and the major botl ons. with the FPR.. when I run it at 29idle(around 38WOT) I get good pwoer throughout the band pretty much, now, I foudn out I'm suppsoed to be running 36-38idle pressure(I got a B16A swap) so I changed it to 38idle and that's about 45-46 WOT... question is.. from 1st and 2nd gear. it pulls slightly harder then before.. BUT at the top end(not as in high revs, but top end as in high speeds) the pull becoems slightly LESS then before with the lwoer Fuel pressure at WOT. basicaly with the upped Fuel pressure. gears 1 and 2 are slightly strogner where as 3 and 4 seems a bit slower. anyway I can "lean" it out so I get less fuel pressure the faster I go without getting like a VAFC?
