fuel injector info
i think im having trouble with some part of my fuel system.
my injectors do not pulsate, they are constantly on. flooding the motor with fuel. the car does not idle normal nor do the rpms climb. if i disconnect vaccum hoses i can get it to run a bit better due to more air getting to compensate for the excessive fuel.
what can cause this?
it started when i took my IM off and put it back on with a new gasket, i also cleaned out my IM with intake carb cleaner, and also sprayed the injectors down totally with them until they were clean. could this have caused some kind of damage?

tps was broken, i got a new one of those, we lost the map sensor so i got another one of those too.
i thought it was those before but after getting a diffrent ones it cant be that.

tps was broken becuase when i was driving my rpms shot up so i pulled in a parking lot to see, and the plastic piece that holds the tps onto the TB was broken. when i got home i removed the throttle body and inspected the tps, when i removed the screws for the tps, the spring was just there and the piece thats supposed to be on the tps was actually broken. i have always been getting a tps code, but thats finally when it acted up.

yes it was never removed. i got a new throttle body with the factory tps on it.
also, another thing i was wondering, a node was plugged into the fuel injector port, and the node is what shows that its constantly on. even if its a faulty injector the node wouldnt show a constant on. im pretty confused all over again.

All a node light does is show the electrical pulse. Just wondering did you buy the throttle body used and are you sure the tps was never moved. It sounds like your engine thinks there is load on the engine and thats why the fuel injectors are open all the time.
yah the node light isnt really showing a pulse, its just a steady light.
yah i bought the throttle body used, but the original rivets were in it. and it will do it even under an idle.
i agree, but i do not know why my car thinks there is a load. the computer has been swapped 2 times, all sensors in place. its still doing that. im pretty confused, and my mechanic who knows alot about all fields was rather stumped also. but he said hes going to give it another shot with a diffrent harness, because my injector wires were twined together and wrapped in electrical tape.
but this all has to do with something about me taking apart my intake manifold. prior to that i never had this problem.

If its not pulsing then its an electrical issue, or the ecu could just be seeing load for some odd reason but I would probably say its an electrical issue, so changing the harness might just fix it.

the mechanic said something about getting another harness, so hopefully he can take care of it for me. he has tried other ecu's so its def not the ecu, 2 others were tried. i hope its just a dumb problem.

fuel resistor box? its a 96 db8, with a b16 motor because the original motor was stolen. everything was converted over to obd1. everything was working fine.
still stumped.
still stumped.
