Default First stroke of bad luck in a long time! Please read! Cliff's Notes for laziness!!!

Well here's the deal...

I have been noticing a wierd noise that seemed to be coming from my transmission for the past few days and was thinkin' that maybe it was time to change the fluid. So, today I got to work and decided I was going to pull my car into the bay and check my tranny fluid.

Well, I got under there and was lookin' around and I saw all this baby poop lookin' stuff all over the inside of my passenger side wheel and I was like **** my CV boot busted and I got to lookin' a li'l closer and seen that my Lower ball joint boot was busted so I was like aight and I pulled my car out.

So, I called a local Honda service shop in my area and told them what was going on and they told me that it would be like $50 bucks for a new control arm and I was like OK that's not too bad, but, I wanted a second opinion so I called a local Honda dealership and told them the same thing and the service man came back and told me that I could just have the boot replace and repacked and he said it was only like $48 so I was like hell yeah.

So, I got to lookin' again and pulled the Civ in the bay again and got under it to examine this a li'l more thoroughly and saw that the metal clamp that holds my CV boot to the hub was missing and that I could pull the boot off of the hub with my hand and realized that all the grease was from the CV boot. Luckily it isn't torn or busted at all it just needs to be repacked and a new clamp put on. I get to lookin' a li'l more and see that the bracket that holds my brake line to the control and just hanging there along with the hose that is attached and I was like what the heck.

So, I found a spare bolt and put the bracket back and was done with that.

Anyways, it has been so long since anything major has happened to my car that it makes me a li'l sad that she is injured.

My question is, how hard is it to repack and clamp the CV boot to the hub?

CLIFF's Notes for LAZY peeps:

-Hearing funny noise possibly from tranny
-Get under car and look
-Find busted lower ball joint
-Call around to see how much to fix ball joint
-Get under car again to look somemore
-Find CV boot off but not busted or cracked with grease everywhere
-Also find brake line bracket off control arm
-How much to repack and clamp CV boot?

it's easy to repack the CV boot? Do I still have to take the axle out to repack it?

Well I got a re-man'd axle from Auto Zone for $30 and I am plannin' on puttin' it in soon. But I have found out why my tranny is makin' the funny noise. I believe it's my throw-out bearing, but I'm not real sure as of yet.
