Default Re: first car first wreck! (sramDcivicEK)

i similarly hit a curb recently your damage looks very similar to mine..
i ended up not telling my insurance company and replacing the rear cross member, upper and lower A-arm (to be safe) torsion arm and lower control arm, appears as if you may have to do the same... parts cost about 300, buy yourself a book on your car and do it yourself.... the way i figure it if your stupid or careless enough to hit something like that do the labor yourself and learn a lesson out of it.... its actually pretty difficult, but im almost positive your cross member is fucked up resulting in more than enough suspension components fucked up also... most likely the frame isnt bent... your shock is probably fine, upper a arm probably got shoved around?? hammer it down from under the hood where it connects and replace it....... good luck whatever the outcome may be.... remember if you tell your insurance company you will more than likely pay way more in the long run for insurance than you will spending on just getting it fixed....
