Default filter on throttle body

what would happen if you scraped the whole intake thing, and just put the filter on the throttle body itself? just curious as to if it would be better, or not.

I will still work but there is no distance for the air to pick up speed as it enters the throttle body. I recall reading something about this a while back....try a search.

It's probobly the one I responded to...

There's no way to tell what would happen w/o testing it...

I HIGHLY doubt there would be any gain at all with out a specially designed intake manifold and throttle body velocity stack of some sort.
