Default Fuel Filter micron ratings ?

This is for a fuel filter. What exactly does this stand for ? And how much would this affect fuel flow ? What is the OEM rating ?

Micron is a measurement of size for particles that a filter will catch. Smaller the micron filter, the more stuff it will filter out

I see 10, 40, 80, and 100. So, numerically, if the number is lower, it filters out more particles? In theory, wont a lower micron number be more restrictive?

Generally yes, but the area of the filter media has to be taken into consideration too.
