Default Exhaust note question

My setup: JRSC b18c1, hytech replica header, 2.5 inch piping to a magnaflow oval muffler, no cat. Its primarily an autocross car, I don't really care how loud the car is I just HAVE to get rid of the tinny exhaust note at higher rpms. Do you guys think just adding a resonator in the b pipe will do the trick? Also, I didnt add any pipe after the muffler for a tip. Do you think extending the muffler tip may help? Thanks, any input is apprieciated.

I had a magnaflow oval behind 2.25" piping, and after welding in the biggest resonator I could, the top end raspiness disappeared. I'd definitely reccomend it.

Although I have a 5Zigen exhaust I had to add a 2nd resonator, [installed where cat used to be] to get rid of an unwanted resonance, worked very well. 94

I added a 26 inch long cherry bomb style 2.5 inch resonator. Sounds really good, tinny rasp sound is gone.

A resonator will clean up the tone and get rid of the raspiness/tinny sounds, and lower the overall tone of the exhaust, get the biggest one you can fit. It won't however have much effect on the overall loudness of the exhaust, just the quality of the sound.
