Erratic idle on b16a
My idle never seems to go below 1800 rpm's. I have adjusted the throttle body needle once before but have not been successful. It always seems to go back to a very high idle. I've notice that the weather seems to play a part in the rpm's also. If it's arctic cold out the rpm's will go as high as 3,000. If I'm running the car up to red line and shift to the next gear it back fires also. I have no clue what that could be. I do have a "free flowing " cat and a custom cat back but the low back pressure shouldn't be the reason for the back fire should it? I checked all vac. lines and checked the coolant also. No problems there.
