engine questions...please respond if you have experience
ok, i have a chance to acquire this motor. it was built correctly, and by a great builder. i'm just worried about ls/vtec's and 12.2:1 compression. this setup will be my daily driver, and considering it was built correctly and broken in properly and has been tuned. here are the specs...please let me know what you think...
thanks, and as of right now i have an OEM b16a that hasn't been touched.
All machine profesionally done to spec
Integra B18B LS block with all new OEM Honda bearings
Endyn Roller Wave Pistons ( 12.2:1 )
Eagle Rods
Z-10 Block Girdle
SIR-2 B16A Head
Porflow titanium retainers
Port Flow valve springs
TODA Spec A cams
TODA Version 2 Cam Sprockets
Type R intake manifold
64 mm bored throttle body
Ice-Man Hybrid Cold Air Intake
please let me know...as i'm usually accustomed to going with all OEM honda parts, as OEM honda is in my opinion the best. its not like me to even consider anything other than OEM pistons...but please let me know your experiences.
thanks, chet

that sounds like a pretty nice set up. 12.2 CR is pretty high for toda A cams, though will run very nicely if it has been built right (oil line in proper place, of course)
you shouldn't have any issues on pinging with that high of a compression (assuming you'd be running 91 or 92 octane) and don't live too high of altitude.
