As the title says sometimes when i start my car usually after driving pretty hard it dies.the engine cranks it revs to about 300rpm and then dies.If i try and give it some gas it dies and i get a feeling of back pressure fom the accel pedal.
any ideas as to what this is?

there can be many of problems. is there a Check engine light? i had a problem with it. my problem was a clogged fuel filter. check it out

 

may also be the main relay not making a good contact cuasing the fuel pump to die
