What car is this? I didn't realize that there was 'goo' in the mounts.

The inserts that you have are for only three out of the five engine mounts.

If one is shot, I would replace it first. IMO

If you are working with a DC or EG the mounts are the same.. The 94+ integra and 95 Si use the same driverside upper mount... I'm not sure about Energy but Prothanes insert replaces the whole inside.... I've put Energy's in my friend's cars before but i've never seen the upper kit for the driverside and tranny... I guess it just depends on what car and if your insert kit comes with the mount.... I personally like the Prothane kit better just cuz it's stiffer... but yea that's just my opinion... Peace

my car is a 93 cx hatch with a b18c1 motor in it. the inserts are juss like little rubber things wth zip ties. thats why i was wondering if those would replace the blown stock one. or i would have too buy a whole new mount for 100.00 plus dollars

Your driverside upper or lower mount is ripped??? If your bottom one is ripped then it may be okay.... The vibration mounts don't do a whole hell of a lot.... If your driverside upper is ripped then you'll need to replace the mount... It would however be cheaper just to buy the Prothane insert kit which would replace the center of that mount... Again like i said before the Prothane kit is a lot more stable than the Energy... Peace

Sorry about this pic but I used my friend's 3.3megapixel cam and it has some crazy *** resolution.... I just did this swap about a month ago for my friend "Cheddabob"... You can see the insert replaces the entire inside of the stock mount... I'll get you the link to JC Whitney where he ordered them from..

The engine bay and motor were kinda dirty cuz this was the day i dropped it in... The wires look a little more organized and the engine bay is a little cleaner now.. I also had the valvecover ground on the wrong point, but it's all fixed now... Here's the direct link to JC Whitney.... We need the mounts shipped like 2 day and the total was something like $85 but even if you did that it's still cheaper than payin $100 for just the mount... http://www.jcwhitney.com/item.jhtml?...=43099&BQ=jcw2 I just realized that they put the wrong picture up for the kit... don't worry tho it is the one you will want to order...

I got the ES Inserts (all 3 of them) and it didnt do **** for my wheel hop. And my car still bucks at low rpm (was hoping to get rid of that nasty engine flex). All I got was a car that vibrates alot more, and crisper shifting.

My ES were inserts. The 2 lower front and the tranny rear had the "inserts" placed into holes normally molded into the mounts. The inserts fill in the holes and make a more solid mount.

The engine mounts, left and right respectively, can be replaced completely. No inserts, just like the photo in this thread.

Yea, that's what I was saying about those Energy's, I've only seen them used once and that was on my friend's LSVTEC Teg... It helped out a bit but from the time I put them in I knew that they weren't going to be as stiff... They just had a little more softer rubbery feel.... The Prothanes feel like a hard plastic... If you really wanna get rid of that motor rock and wheel hop Muckman I would just hook up some Prothanes and a traction bar... The traction bar should just about get rid of all your wheel hop alone... Peace

The inserts just fit into the hallow motor mounts like a jigsaw puzzle. It just filles up the gaps with the polyurethan insert.

I like my new back massager, im just saying it didnt do anything else but that.

If you put them in a 00 GSR they wont make as much difference as replacing the old mounts from a 94 GSR

You'll need a new motor mount. The prothane kit actually has 2 small tabs that fit into that top mount (you would still need a new mount), while the es doesn't cover that mount. You want to replace this! When mine broke I tried to find a heavy duty replacement, but gave up and bought the oem part. There is one available that I came accross afterwards...I think it was at http://www.placeracing.com...not sure. The "goo" is oil in a diaphram, but I couldn't tell you the theory behind that....some sort of dampener I guess.
