92 civic hatch with d16z6.

first, the shifter is way loose, in gear it moves in a big circle, i ordered some bushings and well all the parts that move/loose dont use the bushings that came in the kit. the bushing kit came with the bushings for the extension rod. i installed them anyway. the loose part is the shift rod. under the shift lever the dust seals upper and lower are gone. and where shift rod meets at the trans( the joint with the rubber boot).. the rubber boot looks fine but there is mad play in the joint. like it moves all over.

any ideas what needs to be replaced?

second. when i got the car, there were a lot of blown fuses. horn, gaudge cluster, wipers, brake lights, radio. i replaced all the blown fuses and now everything works. ..BUT now. after a few days of driving, car doesnt start, doesnt even try to crank and when i turn the key to the accessory position all the normal lights come on in the gauge cluster, the fuel pump primes and when i turn to the start position the front turn signals come on and the brake lights and the radiator fan turns on. no crank.
i put the battery on a slow charger for 2 days and still nothing.

any ideas what will cause the car not to start but instead turn on the turn signals and brake lights and radiator fan?
