Default eg/dc chasis

Theres a guy on honda tech selling his hytech exhaust system from his eg civic. He says that it will fit into my 1998 integra type r. Is it true? eg and dc2 chassis the same?

92-95 Civics and 94-01 Integras were built ont he same platform, so a lot of their parts will interchange. That said, you'll usually notice that exhaust components for different body styles will differ slightly in length due to the differences in body length between hatchbacks and coupes/sedans. All B series heads use the same exhaust manifold bolt pattern, so I wouldn't be concerned about that header fitting, but if that exhaust wasn't designed specifically for your chassis, then I would be prepared to have to modify it slightly to fit right. Any necessary modifications would probably be minimal(you might have to shorten/extend the exhaust piping in one or two places), but that seems like a premium price to pay for an exhaust, and I don't know if you'd feel comfortable having it cut up after paying that much for it.
