Default ecu fuse blowing

like the topic says, FI/ m/ underhood fuse keeps blowing when trying to start. bad ecu? short? or a loose wire grounding out somewhere in the wiring (checked many times over, will continue to check)?

jdm h22 w/ jdm p13 in ek, btw
Any insight is much appreciated

a friend of mine had a similar prob, the guy that owned it before had a VAFC in it and when he took it out he didn't tape the wired properely.
just a suggestion.

what was the fuse on there, a 7.5amp? 10? could you try a 15 or 20? maybe 20 is too high, but just a suggestion.

Don't put a fuse higher than what the factory suggest for the ECU. If it keeps blowing, then there must be a short somewhere. Popping in a bigger fuse, you're risking in shorting out the ECU itself.

yea, i thought about doing that, but that 15 amp fuse is there to protect that ecu...so i guess it looks like time to hunt for a short i used these as my o2 sensor plugs, would they have caused the short?

Well if you didn't find a short then its PROBABLY in the ecu...if you know someone with the same ecu change them out just to see or you can open yours and make sure something (like a screw) hasn't rolled on or under the circuit board causing it to short out.

ok, i figured out the problem...i sanded down the areas where my ecu ground was grounded to and changed a couple grounding points in the engine as well as sanding the paint off the surface to where they grounded to and she started right up...
