DX motor is tweeking..
i just recently sold my B18C swap so i had to put in the DX again. everything went fine until i started the car up...
FIRST: the car started up fine and idles fine but when i give it a little gas the car sputters all the way to 2k where it just stays there, it won't go pass 2k. i have a VX so it's a 5-wire 02 sensor, i haven't converted it over to 4-wire yet, so i left that untouched. i tried to check to see what cel's it would throw but nothing happens, it's just a solid cel. i know that means my ecu is bad but i tried 3 different P06's, one P07, and even a P75. it still gave me all the same symptoms. i tried switching the TPS and MAP plugs already, still the same. even tried a new throttle body with new TPS and new MAP, still the same. i also check spark plugs and spark plug wires already. oh yea, and i also tried changing the ignition module, still the same.
SECOND: now the car is tweeking even more. after i tried changing all that, the car gave me a new problem. when i start up the car and give it a little gas, the car starts to die. for example, the car idles at 1.5K (cold) and when i give it a little gas the car dies back down to 500 and below. the only thing i could think of now is that i have a faulty distributor and it is not supplying enough spark to completely burn up all the fuel. when i took the spark plugs out they were pretty black. this motor has been sitting in my garage for about a year or so now, but i got it free only and don't know what it's been through.
but what also bothers me is the solid cel? what could that mean? any inputs would definately help.. thanks ahead of time guys.
