it's my bro's GS-R i took it to see my sis.. he has a stage 4 clutch, it made chatter in first gear a little and would make a whiny noise.. well i was driving on the highway shifting from third to fourth and it made a pop and then revved high as hell.. car idles high and clutch makes squeak in every gear and is hard to engage. gas pedal makes arough sound also? if someone could help me diagnose these problems and prices would be nice too. you drive it, you pay for it right?

i think u may have thrown a spring from the hub...but can't be positive?

ok - when it is in neutral it doesn't do it.. so we'll clear that up.. but first gear it's faint, second gear it gets louder, third gear - 5th all whine pretty bad. sounds like a super-charger almost that's the only way to describe the noise. i took it to a shop and the guy said that it could be from putting regular trans. oil in instead of regular 10w-30 which he said they need. basically sounds like the damage is done, i just wanna know if it could be something smaller so i don't have to buy a new trans?? hope that helped thanks for helping..

 

how much would i be looking at for that? i am taking it to a transmission shop in the morning. i trust the guy also so i'll see what he said. thanks for your help - any other suggestions?
