Default Doing my first Swap in a few months.

Well first off I drive a 97' Hx Civic. I'm trying too do all my work on my car; and learn more about Hondas and how they work.

My car pretty much stock except I lowered it; put in a short-throw shifter; fog lights; and had to replace the radiator. I know that it's not much compared too you Honda guru's but it's a start i guess.

But back on subject; I've been doing a little research on motor swaps.

I want to do something alittle different, I want too stay away from the B16; because everyone here runs them.

I was looking into a full Gsr swap, but i've heard Ls with a B16 head would be just as good. But i'm not sure i'll be able to handle all the V-Tech/Ecu parts.

What would be the easiest/best bang for the buck swap.

Thanks.

LS vtec will probably cost just as much if not more than a GSR swap. Plus the labor involvedwith that setup. Kind of a waste unless you find a complete LS vtec already done.

GSR swap is less labor intensive.

Actually more people run GSR motors then b16 motors IMO.

Swapping out a motor is fairly easy. Do more research on google and you should be set.

I was looking on hmotors; and was looking at the complete swap with the tranny and all. Has anyone had good experiences with this site? I've heard good from them. I was thinking about just buying the complete instead of piecing the motor. What do you think?

Why not try and score a deal on a local forum? You might find a legit swap for a fair price. But yes, hmotors is very legit.

Yeah, I was about to say, browsing on here I notice more GSR and LS/VTEC builds than I do B16s.

HMotorsOnline is, from what I've heard, one of the better and more reliable places to buy engines and transmissions.

Yeah I prolly can find a way better deal from somone else; but I'd rather be 100% safe about buying this. Even if I have to pay more. But I havent made my final choice, I have a few months to think on this.
