Hi... Just a question out of curiousity... Is it practical ( I won't use the term possible, because given the right amount of time and determination anything is possible...) to mate a DOHC V-tech head to a block that was originally a SOHC? I have a 99 Civic EX and I'm curious if anyone has attempted putting a dual cam head on to a D16y8 engine... I'll state right from the beginning... I'm not thinking that this will give me any great performance upgrades... I just have a tinkering problem... Kind of a mad scientist of mechanical engineering... Muah-hah-hah-hah (sinister laugh)... Come to think of it I guess practical doesn't really imply in this case either... Oh well, any opinions on this sort of application?

So none of the dual cam heads have similar spacing to the block... hmmm... guess that would mean one off machining of a new head... too much effort involved in that... oh well...

Why yes... yes it is... My parents have a couple of those phones... Meant V-tec... Please forgive me... Course the way I like to play Dr. Frankenstein you never can tell, I might just put a v-tech in my car someday... Hee hee
No B-series head will fit a D-block, but an H can go on a F ('cept for the F20C - who the hell named it that anyways) to make the "G". That's what they call it atleast.
