Default Does a ported head affect emissions?

How so? I've been told it does, but I don't see how the hell it would, just as long as you have a fine a/f ratio.

I think it does,cause you wont make more power unless you add some more fuel.More fuel = more emissions.Anyone else?

If you change the way an engine breathes, you will affect emissions. I can not say for better or worse, or quantify how much effect it will have, but it will have an effect. I don't know of anybody who has done any testing in this area. Usually when a head is ported, the only tests made are to determine flow, hp/tq , and perhaps 1/4 mile times.
