Default Does exhaust sound decrease after installing an intake????

I have a Tanabe G-Power exhaust system and I recently installed an AEM cold air intake system too. Is it just me or does the exhaust sound decrease after installing an intake? Before I installed the intake, my exhaust sounded a little bit louder and now the exhaust sound seems a little decreased.

Thanks for everyone's help!!!!

My guess is that you hear the intake more than the exhaust. You were used to the exhaust at first, but now that you have the intale, it seems to drown out the exhaust tone. That's my hypothesis...
