Does a bad throwout bearing make noise?
Well been having tranny problems for awhile now.
It all started all of a sudden on a friday, I was driving them all of a sudden shifting into gears became very hard, i had to shift into other gears first before it would go into first.
That night when I got home i checked and thought it wass my MC cause there was liquid on the rod, so I replaced that, it helped for a day but after that back to square one again. As it stands right now all gears are hard to go into with first being the worse of them.
Feels like clutch is not disengaging all the way. Its a stock clutch. I was told it could be the throwout bearing as well but I hear not noises at all.
How can you tell if its bad after I take off the tranny?

The clutch hub is probably damaged or it popped a spring. It usually starts with grinding gears even while shifting gently, then it gets worse and worse until you can't get it into gear anymore with the engine on. With the engine off, you should be able to get into every gear easily.
A failing release bearing will have a grinding/chafing noise when you push the clutch pedal in to disengage the clutch.

yeh I noticed it is easier with the car off, but funny thing is I never had any gridning or anything prior. Still now no gridning, it makes no noise at all except the fact its brutal to try and get it into gear. I want to fix this asap as I fear im going to wreck my syncro by forcing it into gear.
