Default Do PowerCore Cats Suck?

Please defend your answer. And if you have the race/comp one, will it bolt directly to a 99 teg ls? Thanks.

The Powercore is a test pipe that replaces the cat for off road use. It is not emmisions legal. They work well for what they are intended to do.

I think they do. The PowerCore race cat I bought for my Civic failed when the inner perforated core cracked. If you look through the cat you will see the perforated core that holds the catylist material against the outer casing. That caused all kinds of changes in exhaust flow and tone. I'll never buy another one again.
Maybe I was an isolated case though...but who really knows. All I can do is share my experience with it.

The failure occured within 5 months of use. Sorry I didn't take any photos or else I would have posted them up.
