Difficult to turn Input shaft after rebuild
OK, the tranny was rebuilt with all new syncros, bearings and seals. Thing is i cant turn the input shaft by hand. If i put the friction disc on i can turn it over. Do you think its difficult because everything is new and the bearings are tight. BTW there is no oil in the case yet. The tranny had a bad input shaft bearing and 3rd gear syncro. BTW anyone whom wants to know my input shaft bearing sounded like popcorn popping in the tranny, it was bad enough that the clutch would engage/disengage odd.

pull the case back up. see if the top tabbed mainshaft washer wasn't in place. and make sure it's not bent. if the top mainshaft bearing is stuck in the bearing bore in the gearhousing you just pulled off, then see if it spins good and make sure the inner race isn't jammed up. prime the stacks and bearings with some trans fluid or oil. be sure the tab on the top is pointing straight up perpendicular to the bottom line of the bellhousing case. if the case doesn't drop or wiggle all the way down, which it should, keep trying till it does. don't force the case together.
if you're still having binding, then you need to reassemble your mainstack. take pics of your mainshaft stack, if you can, and we can see if you have things together correctly.
