Default Did I damage the master cylinder?

98 civic EX, ABS equipped.

I compressed the piston in the caliper with a "C" clamp on both calipers without removing the cap on the reservoir of the master cylinder.

i'm not sure if the excess brake fluid that overflowed seeped out of the cap or if the master cylinder has been damaged.

You damaged paint under your hood, if anything. Suck some of the fluid out next time before you compress the piston back in.
