Default dead battery or dead starter?

Yesterday I tried to start my swap I just finished and it would just make a clicking sound when I turned the key. I put a jumper box on the battery, and after a couple attempts to start it, it started right up. Now today, I went to start it, and the starter wont even make that clicking sound. Tried to hook up the battery jumper and still no luck. Starter stays quiet.

also, I checked the voltage at the battery and got 12.0 volts. Checked the voltage at the starter when the key is turned and got around 9 volts....good??

Make sure that little wire to the starter is connected good. Then check your alternator and makes sure that has a good ground.

Pop starting your car can be a test to see if your start and/or battery is crap.

I duno if you know how to pop start, but it basically bypasses the starter.
If your car starts right up when pop starting, then your battery could be fine and your starter could be crap. Drive around and get the battery charged up.

Sometimes the battery acts like it has juice, but not enough juice to power the starter. Try borrowing a new or working battery from someone to see if your current battery is problamatic.

found the problem...it was the starter, I had to hit it a couple times, started right up...drove around the b18c crx for the first time(vtec doesnt work yet =T ) ran pretty smooth...except, something is rubbing something near the right wheel, but when I would turn right a little, the metal rubbing sound would go away...i dunno what it is, i'll check it tomorrow
