d16y8 intake manifold on d16a6
i was searching and found this discussion https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=660249 but I had a couple additional questions.
On the dyno's it showed little or less performance with the addition of the Y8 mani to the z6, but it did somewhat increase the mid range power. Being on a A6, what would the performance increase look like?
Also, if there was that little of a difference, would I be about the same getting a Z6 mani as getting the Y8 one?
Lastly, I plan to turbo my car in the future (probably the A6, but I may upgrade to either a Z6, Y8, or ZC), would having the Y8 manifold give me as much performance as if I were to add a different mani or leave the A6 one on?
thanks

best flowing stock head is the Z6 and best intake mani is the Y8. Mini me swaps on a A6 aren't bad for the price if your tight on cash. Homemade turbo set and mini me = fun

can you port-match the ports so they flow right?

no cause you got to port the entire length of the runner not just the openings to match the Z6/Y8s flow. You could extrude hone it to open it up all the way but that costs too much like $300-400.Best bet is just to get a Z6 manifold for the easiest swap, they are dirt cheap.
