d series won't downshift into 3rd

d series won't downshift into 3rd
today 4 the first time, i can't downshift from into 3rd unless I hold the clutch in, put it in 2nd, then 3rd. It is also slightly difficult to upshift into 3rd. no grinds.
bad synchro?
shift linkage?
if shift linkage, then is it the bushings between the linkage and the shifter?
easy fix?
