D man, check my thread out. This has stumped me as I am about ready to put this $1800 head on my built block and when I looked again, it looks as though the combustion chambers are Y8 but because it they been opened up for the larger bore (78mm), I can't tell. The head has also been ported to hell obviously so the intake port divider has been opened up a lot. Any idea?

Here is my thread.

I think the "invalid-session" error problem has been resolved - I had already registered and would get that trying to post sometimes. Try again - hopefully it'll work for ya. If not, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Can you tell me anything about this head. Is there anything special to it.
I recently got the car, so any info I can get on it is extremely helpful.
Thank You!

pm3-19 supposed to be an "Si head"
PM3-XX my 155k mile 89 D15b2 head

But that just proves the casting is the same, not the cam, springs, retainer, valves, and other assorted hardware on the head... Good thread though...

OBD1 ZC ("ZC stamped on block where usually the engine code (ie D16Z6)" is) .

P08-1

Now someone else posted this for D15 VTEC. Are you sure its not a ZC? Cuz I heard that ZC means 1.6 liters only so mine can't be a D15.

Hello,
I have bought D16Z6 head,
I have checked the number and it turned up that it is P08-1 heda so it should be d15B jdm.
When I bought it, heda was in pieces.
Yesterday a realise that my cam doesn't have 3 lobes on intake side. It has 1 lobe and 1 lobe for closed valve like in E-vtec.
Could any one post picture of how should sohc v-tec cam should look like?
Thanks

I've got a JDM or EDM D15B (no fifth number) non vtec motor with a PM3-12 head code. Not sure if the car was auto tranny, 4 spd, 5 spd, DPFI, MPFI, or Carbed. Sorry, but I know the cam is *****! It's for 88-91 Civics.

I posted that. I got my motor from HMotorsOnline.com Definitely 1.5L VTEC. Not sure about you though. Maybe someone swaped the head onto your motor or as others have stated; USDM use P08-1 for 1.6L? Need more people to look at their motor's head and post up info.

now i know what my head type.. P2J can be d16y5 or d16y8 but i dont know the last code, because there is not VX or EX letter.. at last there is "H" letter
and all iknow my stock hp is 115
but my block is d15
so in Honda city type z ( asean market ), the factory build d15 block which same as grand civic LX 88-91 and y5 /y8 head for the vtec
oh yeah what d15 that civix LX 88-91 used ?

and if its true my car use d16y5 head vtec-e OBD2.... can i change my head with d16z6 which is OBD1 ? or i should run d16y8 ??
