Cutting carbon fiber
I'm working with a 0.032" sheet of CF that I need to cut (both straight and curved cuts). If it were any thinner, I would use an x-acto knife, and if it were any thicker I would use a jig saw. However, I'm not sure how it will hold up to a jig saw at this thickness. Anyone know a good tool or technique to cut CF?

Yes, indeed.
I think it would depend more upon the size of the cut. If you were trying to fill in a window, then a cutoff wheel would probably work the best, but for small interior pieces, definately the dremel.

Do you think I could get through 0.032" with the x-acto?
As for the dremel, I was looking at dremel bits today to see if there was something I thought would work well. What do you suggest? Just a standard cutting wheel? There's a lot of dremel parts I have never used since I mostly use the dremel for metal work. I need to cut holes for switches and gauges, so some of it will be a little difficult. Thanks for the help.

The standard cutting wheel should work fine.

getting **** ready for AMP this weekend bro? i wont be there because ill be in tucson finishing up my 240.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yea, getting ready for the AZ Honda-Challenge points season opener. You should see the car...lots of new toys. The CF is for a simple dash panel for the start button, the gauges, and a few switches for fans and the transponder. I don't think I can cut holes for the gauges with a cutting wheel. Those aren't good for tight radius turns. Is there something better for that? Beyond cutting wheels and grinders, I'm not really familiar with dremel bits. Something that works like a tile cutter might be nice (like a drill bit, but it cuts sideways), but I don't know if that's the right tool for CF.
