Default Custome test pipe

I was just at a muffler shop today ask about test pipe. I have a typeR and want to custom make a test pipe for my car. I dont want to go for JDM header yet because i wasn't sure whether i want to go turbo or n/a. Anyhow, the guy told me he can do it for $75. Is this a good price?

He also told me that the comptuer chip will compensate the difference which will result in less performance gain?...is that true? what should i do to prevent the chip from compensating the difference?

Have them custom(e) fit it for a bolt on test pipe, rather than a whole weld. That way you can slap on your old cat and pass emissions. To tell the computer to compensate for the performance gain, just reset it! Simple. Don't just gut a cat (not animal), that will cause back pressure, I know that's not what you asked but I figure someone will bring it up. As for the price, sounds good. Go ahead and get a FPR, raise the fuel high, then drive, you will enjoy the flames out of your exhaust! Hmmmm...

$ 75 isnt bad. I have the GodSpeed pipe, I think I paid $75 for that. It works pretty well.

Save yourself some money and buy from these guys for your R. I bought it of ebay for my LS swap and it fits like OEM, and works great all for 30 bucks! Heres the URL for your R http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=597927227
