Default CTR Piston question. 13 Compression ratio?

I was wondering on this set up.

GS-R motor with Civic type R piston. It will fit correct?
GS-R head with GS-R block. Civic type R piston and single layer head gasket.

According to the above link I can get 13.03 compression?

Anyone have a problem with detenation or anything else with 91 octane fuel?
Will it all just bolt right on no machine work on block?

Thanks
ANdy

from what i know the block will need some machine work due to the pistons dont have the same bore as the gsr block. as for the 13 compression. i doubt it prob 11:1 i would say

CTR pistons are the same bore, but i would recomend u get them .25 oversixed ones. And if u put b16a pistons in a gsr u will get like 11.5, so with CTR pistons, it should be 12.0 to 12.5. but u shouldnt have a problem getting 13.0 compresion.

The pistons will work in the GSR block. No machining is required unless You plan to use oversized pistons. I would suggest that you get the cylinders "kiss honed" and sand down the rough edges on the pistons (this will help eliminate hot spots that reduce detonation) The compression is really high and running on pump gas will be a problem unless a stand alone ECU is used. The link you posted is accurate.
