crazy oil burning problem/issue
i was wondering if anyone else has experienced what I have been experiencing. I let the car warm up normal and everything. Then (the key part) on the first vtec of the day I'll get alot of smoke out my exhaust. Its white smoke. The higher the rpm, the denser the smoke. but the weird part, is I only get this big cloud of smoke on the first vtec of the day.
Its like theres a piece of something stuck somewhere, and it gets knocked loose.
Any ideas? I probably should just get a compression and leakdown test. My car has 102,000 miles on it. Use synthetic oil.

if its only sometimes, when you left off the throttle its mostly likely valve guid seals.
high rpm will can cause your rings to burn oil if they are worn..
Also check your pcv valve.

burns like a **** when i let off throttle. I put in a brand new PCV valve this spring, and didn't notice any change in behavior. I also tried switching oils too, but no difference. I will be so happy if it is valve guides!
