Default A couple of CTR/ITR Transmission questions.

Hey guys, I have a few noob questions. I am running a jrsc setup on my street car and I need to replace my gs-r transmission as it now has developed a pretty nasty 3rd gear grind and it has been popping out of fifth.

I am wanting to replace the gs-r tranny as well because I feel third gear is just too long in the car for what I do with it. I am wanting to go with a CTR/ITR tranny for LSD reasons inparticular and I feel the shorter gearing of the two will be a lot more fun on my setup.

A couple of questions. Both the CTR/ITR trannies have the same gearing correct, aside from different final drives depending on year make? and the ones with the 4.7 final drives are the shorted geared ones correct?

Finally, who are some trustworthy companies you guys are purchasing your trannies from? Link it up.

Thank you in advance guys.

Hmotors online has great trannys at great prices... But why not just buy the parts you really want and use the Gsr case/whatever gears you want from it... You would probably end up slightly cheaper (and all new parts)

Buy an OEM ITR tranny from the dealer. 1800 bucks or so.

I was thinking that. Do they sell tranny rebuild kits or do I need to buy each gear/synchro seperately from honda?

I've pondered that thought as well.
