Default Coolant overflows when parked... car doesn't run hot.

This one is weird. I could understand my coolant overflowing if the car were running hot, but it DOES NOT RUN HOT. I can drive the car and park it and then when I come out I'll have a puddle of coolant under the car. I can get in and drive it and everything is fine, it doesn't do it every day either. After about the thrid time the car will start to run hot, I add coolant the cycle starts over again.

Sometimes it "gurgles" when I shut the car off too, the problems don't happen consitently!

I'm thinking I need a new radiator cap. Suggestions? Comments?

why don't u see where it's leaking from before you go out and buy another cap? have u examined the radiator and all its hoses to check for leaks?

It is overflowing into the overflow tank and then out of that. There are no other leaks.

Could be a bad cap or maybe even a blown headgasket. Hard to say without getting it diagnosed.

hmm, could very well be the radiator cap. there's no oil or anything except coolant in the resevoir rite? i don't think it'd be a blown head gasket, since you're not billowing out white clouds of smoke. try getting a new cap and see what happens.
