Default Re: compression ratio calculators (1.8T_EG)

All these questions about compression, but I am not sure if anyone here knows how to calculate it. It seems that everone seems to think their compression is soley determined by their piston. Compression is nothing more than a swept volume divided by a compressed volume. Some basic math and it can be figured.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Mexicutioner &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">... (sweptvolume + compressedvolume) / (compressedvolume)

or

(sweptvolume / compressedvolume) + 1

The swept volume is easy, just bore & stroke. It's the compressed volume that's more difficult.
