ok i was driving after i installed my knock sensor once i hit the vtec crossover i got a CEL so i pulled the code and got CEL 21..i checked the b16a vtec solenoid and it was bad so i replaced it with a d16z6 one that i tested by putting a 12 volt source to and i heard it click.... then reset the ecu and went for a drive still CEL 21 i took the whole damn thing off cleaned it made sure everything is movng smoothly and reinstalled it no leaks what so ever and still CEL 21

im not good with electronics but im willing to learn is there an easy way to make sure the pressure switch is working?
why is it that i dont get the CEL until my rpm's are on the way down and not up?
(like if im driving at 3grand and i punch it and stop at 7grand and let it wind down idont get the CEL until the rpm's hit 5500 on the way down) should i get it when vtec engages on the way up at 5500?

 

pull the backup light fuse out for about 30sec. see if that works
