Default clutch whine?

so, ive got about 7.5k miles on the car, and the clutch, when first starting to move, or when partially released (ie, moving in reverse), whines like a ****.

anyone have any ideas what it could be? at 7.5k miles i find it hard to believe that the clutch is going.. is there anything else that would cause this?

Mine whines also on reverse and 1st gear; it 's not my clutch though cuz it's brand new. It's something w/ the tranny.

Just another suggestion (I might be wrong) one of my friends said it could be a bearing or something where the axles go in on each side of the tranny.

It's a throw-out bearing in clutch. My wife's GSR had the same problem: when engaging the clutch it would WHIIIINE. I replaced it & it was all rusty & sticky when I tried to spin it. When you gonna replace it, make sure you grease the shaft & the release fork contact points.
