clutch average life? ( personal experience)
hello!
my clutch just started slipping so im looking for a new clutch kit
i used the clutch net (6 puck sprung) and last me for about 25k miles on my daily driver and weekend race car, installed 2.5 years ago....
(20 kmiles stock motor + 5k boosted 395hp)
im wondering if the reliability of this clutch is good????
what is the average (6 puck sprung) clutch life???
thanks for any inputs

OEM clutch lasts longer than anything you could buy aftermarket. With service limits at 60,000 and 70,000 miles you couldn't really ask for much more. Some even are rolling on stock clutch from '99 and on 95,000 miles. It depends on how you drive. For a 6-puck I assume that you take it to redline / spirited driving so 2-3 years / 20,000 -30,000 miles sounds just right.
A stock clutch might last longer in a stock car. His car is making nearly 400hp. I would say that was about right for your car. You may want to look into a different material for the 6 puck, kevlar maybe.
I have heard some good things about Action Clutchs. Look up 2stepEK and send him a PM.
As a note my stock GSR clutch only make it to 55,000 miles, 3 years of drag racing, about 50-75 runs a year with an I/H/E.

Puck clutches on the other hand aren't really designed for daily driving and they have a significantly shorter lifespan.
