>>cluster trouble!!!!! Help!!!!!<<
I HAVE A 1998 CIVIC AND MY CLUSTER STOPPED LIGHTING UP. I CHECKED THE FUSES AND THEY ARE ALL GOOD. I'M HOPING I DONT HAVE TO REPLACE MY CLUSTER LOL..... IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE LEAVE ME A POST OR PM THANKS.
Stop yelling we can hear you.
Question, do all the other dash lights work, is it just the cluster illumination that does not?
If other dash illumination lights work, [heater control panel, CC, rear defog, hazard switches and so on] and it is only the cluster illumination that is not working, you will need to pull the cluster and test for power, [when park/head lights are on] on the red/black lead, if there is test for ground on the red lead, [ground potential will change as you rotate the "Dash Lights Brightness Controller.
If you have power, [red/black] and ground, [red] check the bulbs, [although it is unlikely that all 7 have blown at the same time] if they are good check for damage, [burnt traces] on circuit board and make sure the cluster plug(s) is properly plugged in and making a good connection. 94
