Default cluster lights up when I hit the brakes

I cant seem to figure out the problem in my civic.. Whenever I hit the brakes the cluster illuminates.

It is a 1995 civic dx four door. Has anyone ever heard of this happening or a possible cause?

thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure one of ur bulbs are burnt. check the rear double filament bulbs whatever one that involves lighting up when braking. Replace the bulbs. Try that. I remember having the same problem. Hope that helps.

Ditto the above^^^

A dual filament bulb that has a broken brake light or park light filament where the broken filament is touching the other filament will "back power" the the 2nd circuit.

This can also happen when there is a grounding problem, either with a poor ground connection of the grounding lead or the bulb in the bulb socket. 94
