So I just got the car somewhat ready to run today, and to my disappointment, I ran into an electrical problem. (Just like my other goddamn S2000, but even worse)
The worst part is that there was a lot of electrical/wiring done by me today, and I was picking up where the previous person left off. So there's my work to backtrack as well as the work that was done prior to mine..
To start, the things I did today was:
-Wired up injector clips to the harness. I soldered and shrinkwrapped to make the connections. There was a 2" extension piece of wire (same gauge thickness) for every wire on the injector. So there were 4 solders per injector. (2 solders per wire, 2 wires). I generally weaved them into eachother before soldering it to saturate through all the stripped wires. I was also extra careful not to bend the solders as to not break the solder connections on accident.
-I installed the crank pulley and tensioner to get the alternator/accessory belt on.
-The only other issue I knew of was the ECU wiring. I looked at the wires that was cut, and they matched in color except for 1 of the wires that did match, but there was another wire tapped into it. The added wire was white. I only mention the white color is because all the other wires were color matched to the OEM wires more or less. Brown was brown, blue as blue, red was red, yellow was yellow. I followed the modified wiring up stream and they did match the other end, so I soldered them together the same way I did the injectors.
So those are the only 3 things I did today in an attempt to get the car running. I was told the battery was dead, so I hooked up jumper cables from my running 05' Accord and when I turned the key to the ON position (2nd position before using the push-button start) the entire cluster was flickering. It looked weird so I didn't attempt to crank, the fuel pump did prime (i forgot to torque down the fuel pressure regulator so gas shot everywhere
)
After a couple seconds of the flickering dash lights, I turned the key back to OFF and disconnected the POS terminal on the battery just in case it was a short. When I reached for the POS terminal I noticed it was already extremely loose.
So as of now my theories as to what is wrong or what can be wrong:
- The battery POS terminal was arching on/off when I turned the ignition to the 2nd position (ON)
-The stray 'white' wire may actually be for a ground.
-The grounding kit installed isn't installed properly (though it was supposed to be running prior to my ownership)
-Something went wrong near the fuel rail, something I did.
Any hints to why the cluster is flickering and dim? I'll upload a video soon, but that's as descriptive as I can be with words. Thanks in advance
can't wait to drive this thing.

Got up bright and early and re-inspected the electrical components outside of the stuff that I worked on. The fuses are all good, I checked each and every fuse in the engine bay as well as interior cabin fuse boxes and none are blown. Also had the courage to leave the flickering cluster on, it seems that some parts of the cluster is working/functioning fine and others aren't.
The bottom set of lights such as brake, battery/charging system, CEL, low engine oil indicator, immobilizer, maintenance required, cruise indicator, Electronic Power Steering (EPS), trunk indicator, door indicator. all illuminate solid and seem to function normally.
The odometer, trip meter, gas, coolant temp, speed, hazard/signals etc. (the rest of the cluster aside from the bottom set of lights mentioned) seem to be flickering rapidly and when I turn the headlight switch on they blank out for a moment before returning to flickering. The headlights also do not fire, but the fuses and diode and relay are good (swapped relays from a known good S2000). I'm thinking it's an issue with the cluster itself now such as a loose ground. That would explain the cluster flickering as well as the headlights not powering up. The windshield wipers, A/C, etc. work and illuminate flawlessly. The radio powers up as well, but I do not have the code to see if the audio works.
I'll upload a vid soon! thanks for any suggestions anyone can give based on my vague info.

Turned out to be a 2-prong problem. The flickering was due to the ground not being bolted down (was hanging next to its mounting point and making occasional contact), and the battery was 0% dead dead which made me think that other electrical components weren't working when in fact they work fine. After grounding it, the electrical issues have subsided.
Now the fuel pump is making a weird sloshy/whooshy noise.
But only 2 days ago when I re-did the injector clips there was fuel making it to the fuel rail. not sure what to think of it because when the ignition is turned to the 2nd position (cluster/lights/radio on, engine off) i can hear the fuel pump behind me. (in the S2000, the fuel pump is very close to the cabin) But it doesn't quite sound like my other S2000.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting the fuel pump?
In the mean time I'm going to pull the fuel valve from the fuel rail and see if fuel is indeed pumping/pressurizing.
