Default Clock spring wearing

I just got back from the Honda dealership. For like a month now, when I turn my steering wheel while driving slow, I hear creaking plastic in the steering column.

The car is 2019 Fit.

The said it’s normal to have clock springs wearing and that there’s nothing to worry about and most of them start creaking after 200 miles and that the accords all do. He said they put some oil on it but the sound will come back.

He said even if they put a new clock spring in, the sound would come back.

Is all of this right? I said it seems odd that a car would be expected to have a normal noise like that. The service manager heard me digging further and was trying to back up what the service advisor said.

So if they actually put a new clock spring in, the car would wear it out again and I’d hear the annoying noise?

This isn’t making sense. Anyone? Thoughts? Thanks.
